Steven L. Stahler, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is subject to a pending customer dispute from July 20, 2015, in which the customer requested $793,101.00 in damages in connection with allegations against Stahler of failing to diversify the customer’s investments that had been recommended by Stahler to the customer.
According to FINRA Public Disclosure, Stahler has been subject to approximately a dozen reported customer intiated, investment related complaints.  Previously, on February 16, 2015, Stahler settled a customer dispute for $55,000.00 after the customer alleged that Stahler made fraudulent misrepresentations and omissions concerning investments, and made unsuitable investment recommendations. On February 2, 2015, Stahler settled a customer dispute for $140,000.00 after the customer alleged that Stahler breached his fiduciary duty, and made misrepresentations and omissions.  In July 2014, Stahler was fined and suspended by FINRA for making unsuitable recommendations to customers.
On September 22, 2014, Stahler settled a customer dispute for $14,000.00 after the customer alleged unsuitability, breach of contract, negligence, and fraud. On April 25, 2013, Stahler settled a customer dispute for $525,000.00 after he was alleged to have committed fraud and deceptive business practices, and financial abuse. On February 8, 2013, Stahler settled a customer dispute for $1,312,500.00 after the customer alleged that Stahler committed fraud, misrepresentation, breached his fiduciary duty, and made unsuitable investment recommendations.
On January 30, 2012, Stahler settled a customer dispute for $170,000.00 after he was alleged to have made unsuitable investment recommendations and failed to supervise. On January 23, 2012, Stahler settled another customer dispute for $475,000.00 after the customer alleged breach of contract and deceptive securities practices. Stahler also settled a customer dispute on April 19, 2010, for $100,000.00 after the customer alleged that Stahler made unsuitable investment recommendations to the customer.
