Dale Edward Wright, of Henrico, Virginia, a stockbroker currently registered with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., has been named in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim on March 15, 2017, in which the customer requested $130,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Wright breached his contractual duties to the customer, negligently handled the customer’s insurance policies, breached his fiduciary obligations and violated the Virginia Securities Act.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that Wright has been identified in three additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of his misconduct while employed with National Planning Corporation. Particularly, on August 11, 2016, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Wright’s conduct was settled for $125,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that he effected unsuitable transactions in the customer’s third party managed account, fraudulently induced the customer’s investments, breached his contractual and fiduciary duties, placed trades without authorization, and churned the customer’s investment portfolio of mutual funds.
Subsequently, on February 19, 2015, a customer filed an investment related written complaint involving Wright’s conduct, in which the customer’s claim was based upon allegations that Wright made misrepresentations to the customer about an insurance policy, and sold her a policy that failed to be suitable. Then, on March 31, 2016, a customer initiated investment related written complaint regarding Wright’s activities was resolved for $50,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Wright made unsuitable investment recommendations to the customer about selling the customer’s insurance policy to investment in securities.
