Christopher Paul Puffer of Louisville Kentucky a stockbroker formerly registered with Money Concepts Capital Corp and Money Concepts Advisory Services is the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim that was settled for $14,500.00 in damages based upon allegations of negligence and a breach of contract governing the customer’s alternative investment purchases including real estate securities and business development companies through Puffer while he was registered with Money Concepts Capital Corp. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 19-03407 (Apr. 7, 2020).
According to the claim, a fiduciary duty that was owed to the customer had been breached. Fees for real estate security and BDC transactions were allegedly concealed from the customer. The claim also alleges that the customer’s account had been overconcentrated in alternative investments which increased the customer’s risks of losses.
FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Puffer has been identified in two more customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of his misconduct while registered with Money Concepts Capital Corp. On April 26, 2017, a customer filed an investment related complaint regarding Puffer’s conduct in which the customer requested $111,467.00 in damages supported by allegations that the customer had been placed into limited partnership investments which deteriorated in value when the isBring FINRA Arbitration Claim Againstr of those interests filed for bankruptcy. The complaint alleges that the customer sustained a total loss on the direct investment recommended by Puffer.
On April 3, 2018, another customer filed an investment related complaint involving Puffer’s activities where the customer sought $15,788.00 in damages founded on allegations that an optional benefit on a variable annuity contact purchased by the customer had been misrepresented and that the customer had not received all of the important information from the stockbroker in regards to the investment.
Puffer has also been terminated from a prior securities broker dealer for improper activities on the job. He was associated with Pruco Securities LLC who discharged him based upon allegations of his failure to comply with rules relating to the exchange or replacement of annuity products.
Puffer has been registered as a stockbroker of Money Concepts Capital Corp since October 27, 2006 and registered as an investment adviser representative of Money Concepts Advisory Services since November 13, 2006.
