Daniel George McPherson, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, a stockbroker currently registered with Cetera Advisors LLC, has been named in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on March 7, 2016, in which the customer requested $40,151.00 in damages based upon allegations that McPherson effected unsuitable fixed annuity transactions in the customer’s account.
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that McPherson has been named in two additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of McPherson’s misconduct while employed with Sammons Securities Company and Securities America, Inc. Particularly, on September 29, 2011, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim regarding McPherson’s activities was resolved for $47,811.99 in damages based upon allegations that McPherson made misrepresentations to the customer and breached his fiduciary duties in the course of making investment recommendations in direct participation programs and limited partnership interests.
Further, on August 22, 2013, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving McPherson’s conduct was settled for $1,000,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that McPherson effected transactions in the customer’s account which were not suitable, and made misrepresentations to the customer concerning tenant in common investments, oil and gas investments, and equipment leasing products.
