Brendan Patrick Shaw of Scottsdale Arizona is a stockbroker formerly registered with Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments and investment advisor representative with Thomson Financial Advisors LLC who is the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim in which the customer requested seven million five hundred thousand dollars in damages based upon accusations that the customer’s brokerage account holdings at TD Ameritrade had been subject of excessive and fraudulent trading. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 17-01595 (June 21 2017).

FINRA Public Disclosure additionally reveals that on January 26, 2017, a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim involving Shaw’s conduct wherein the customer sought $1,109,814.14 in damages supported by allegations that the customers had been fraudulently induced to open accounts; options transactions were effected in the customers’ accounts that were not suitable for the customer; customers’ investment portfolios were churned; and Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments failed to supervise Shaw’s activities pertaining to the customer’s investments. FINRA Arbitration No. 16-03510 (Jan. 26, 2017).

Moreover, on December 9, 2005, Shaw was fired by previous employer, UBS Financial Services, Inc., based upon accusations that he disseminated customers’ account information without authorization. Shaw’s registration with Purshe Kaplan Sterling Investments was terminated on December 31, 2016.
