James Vernon Regier, of Topeka, Kansas, a stockbroker formerly registered with VSR Financial Services, Inc., has been named in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on July 14, 2016, in which the customer requested $76,642.00 in damages based upon allegations that Regier effected unsuitable transactions in the customer’s account concerning United Development Funding IV.
This is not the first time that Regier has been alleged to have effected unsuitable transactions in customer accounts. Particularly, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that on July 27, 2012, a customer initiated investment related written complaint involving Regier’s conduct was settled for $104,191.00 in damages based upon allegations that he effected real estate security transactions in the customer’s account that were not suitable for the customer.
Subsequently, on April 25, 2016, a customer filed an investment related written complaint regarding Regier’s activities, in which the customer requested more than $5,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Regier, between April of 2015 and March of 2016, effected unsuitable mutual fund and stock transactions in the customer’s account.
Regier’s registration with VSR Financial Services, Inc. was terminated on November 2, 2016. Since September 1, 2016, he has been associated with Summit Brokerage Services.
