Amanda Yvonne Berry (also known as Amanda Yvonne Coleman and as Amanda Yvonne Oostrum) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a stockbroker formerly registered with MML Investors Services LLC, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on May 27, 2022, for $82,967.79 in damages based upon accusations that Berry made unsuitable recommendations and allegedly stole money from customers when Berry was associated with MML Investors Services LLC.
FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Berry is referenced in five more customer initiated investment related disputes concerning Berry’s activities while associated with securities broker dealers, including MML Investors Services LLC. On December 21, 2020, a customer initiated investment related complaint involving Berry’s conduct was settled for $131,607.39 in damages based upon allegations that Berry made misrepresentations, unauthorized transactions, and fake bank statements in connection with the recommendation and sale of variable annuities, insurance policies, and mutual funds during the time that Berry was associated with MML Investors Services LLC.
On January 5, 2022, another customer filed an investment related complaint involving Berry’s activities where the customer sought compensatory damages based upon accusations that Berry misappropriated and misused investment funds intended for fixed annuities when Berry was associated with MML Investors Services LLC.
On January 13, 2022, a different initiated investment related complaint involving Berry’s conduct was settled for $72,478.53 in damages based upon allegations that Berry placed funds in the stockbroker’s checking account instead of investing according to the customer’s expectations when Berry was associated with MML Investors Services LLC.
Berry is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related complaint that was settled on May 27, 2022, for $82,967.79 in damages based upon accusations that Berry made unsuitable recommendations and stole assets during the time that Berry was associated with MML Investors Services LLC.
Berry was barred as a stockbroker in the state of Oklahoma by Oklahoma Department of Securities based upon allegations that Berry committed fraud. Order No. 21-030 (February 3, 2021).
Public Disclosure shows that Berry has also been barred from associating with any FINRA member in any capacity based upon accusations that Berry failed to respond to FINRA’s request for information. FINRA Case No. 2020068297301 (July 6, 2021).
Berry’s registration with MML Investors Services LLC was terminated on October 12, 2020.
