Alexandria Bovee (also known as Alexandria Montgomery), of Sumter, South Carolina, a stockbroker formerly registered with Edward Jones, has been barred by Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) from associating with any FINRA member in any capacity because Bovee refused to testify in an investigation into whether she violated federal securities laws or FINRA rules in connection with her unapproved sale of “WeedGenics” securities or selling away. Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent No. 2023078911001 (December 13, 2023).
On December 24, 2022, Bovee voluntarily resigned from Edward Jones, and the securities broker dealer filed a Uniform Termination Notice for Securities Industry Registration (Form U5) terminating her registration on January 25, 2023.
The regulatory action stems from Bovee’s refusal to appear for testimony in connection with a FINRA investigation related to an investor complaint referencing “Integrated National Resources Inc.” (WeedGenics) securities. FINRA noted that SEC filed a complaint against Integrated National Resources Inc. in which Bovee was named as a relief defendant. Bovee’s refusal, communicated through email from her lawyer to FINRA, constituted a violation of FINRA Rules 8210 and 2010.
Bovee was associated with Edward Jones in Sumter, South Carolina from May 10, 2019, to January 25, 2023.
