Stuart Stein, of Hauppauge, New York, a stockbroker formerly registered with MML Investors Services, LLC, was terminated from employment on August 5, 2016, based upon allegations that he mishandled information that the firm deemed private.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that on January 12, 2016, Stein was also fired by his previous employer, MetLife, based upon allegations that he furnished customer account documentation to his firm in a manner that violated the firm’s policies.

Further, on July 27, 2004, a customer initiated investment related written complaint regarding Stein’s activities was resolved for $15,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Stein made misrepresentations to the customer concerning the tax liability associated with switching a life insurance policy to another product. Moreover, on February 8, 2008, a customer filed an investment related complaint involving Stein’s conduct supported by allegations that Stein effected the customer’s variable annuity purchase despite the insurance product having been unsuitable.

Since May 3, 2017, Stein has been registered with American Portfolio Financial Services, Inc.
