William Lynn Bynum of Trenton Michigan a stockbroker currently employed by Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. is the subject of a customer initiated investment related written complaint on April 28, 2017 in which the customer sought $66,960.73 in damages based upon allegations that (1) misrepresentations had been made to the customer concerning a variable universal life insurance policy issued by RiverSource and (2) the customer was charged excessive fees on the insurance product.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure additionally reveals that Bynum was subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim where the customer was awarded $30,000.00 in damages based upon Bynum having been found liable on the customer’s claims that he violated state securities laws; breached his fiduciary duties to the customer; negligently managed the customer’s account; breached contractual obligations; and committed fraud in regard to the recommendations of mutual funds in the customer’s account, including Pimco Total Return D, Oppenheimer International Bond A, Loomis Sayles Strategic Income A, Franklin Income A, and Fidelity Advisor High Income Advantage A. FINRA Arbitration No. 09-04037 (Mar. 8, 2011).

Bynum has been registered with Ameriprise Financial Services Inc. since January 24, 1990.
