Ricky Alan Mantei (also known as Ricky Alan Mantel), a stockbroker and branch manager of Centaurus Financial, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA arbitration claim in which the customer requested $100,000.00 in damages supported by accusations that between 2013 and 2019, misrepresentations and unsuitable trades were made at Centaurus Financial. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 21-02401 (October 26, 2021).

FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Mantei has been identified in thirty eight more customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of his conduct during the period that he was associated with securities broker dealers, including Summit Brokerage Services, JP Turner Company, Cetera Financial Group, and Centaurus Financial. On August 10, 2020, a customer filed an investment related civil action concerning Mantei’s activities where the customer sought compensatory damages based upon accusations of misrepresented investments and a breach of fiduciary duty between 2013 and 2019 concerning bonds and CDs that had been sold to the customer. Civil Action No. 2019-CP-32-02636.

Mantei is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was resolved for $5,000.00 in damages founded on allegations of unsuitability and misrepresentation concerning the customer’s investments in corporate bonds, CDs, and REITs. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-01267 (November 17, 2020).

Mantei is identified in a different customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was settled for $12,250.00 in damages supported by accusations of Mantei’s misrepresentations and failure to supervise securities transactions while he was employed by JP Turner, Cetera Financial Group, and Centaurus Financial. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-03559 (January 11, 2021).

On February 26, 2021, another customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Mantei’s conduct was resolved for $22,500.00 in damages based upon allegations of Mantei misrepresenting information concerning the customer’s investments at Centaurus Financial. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-01404. According to the claim, there was a breach of fiduciary duty by the securities broker dealer between 2011 and 2020.

On April 14, 2021, an additional customer initiated investment related arbitration claim regarding Mantei’s activities was settled for $5,000.00 in damages founded on accusations of the customer’s account being overconcentrated in real estate securities, corporate bonds, and certificates of deposit. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-00815. The claim also contains allegations of breach of fiduciary duty and unsuitable securities transactions.

Mantei is also the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim which was resolved for $11,250.00 in damages supported by accusations of investments being misrepresented and unsuitable for the Centaurus Financial customer between 2012 and 2020. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-01073 (July 21, 2021). Another customer filed an investment related arbitration claim concerning Mantei’s conduct in which the customer requested $125,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that corporate bonds and CDs were unsuitable for the customer. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-03893 (December 14, 2021).

On January 18, 2022, a different customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Mantei’s activities was settled for $70,000.00 in damages founded on accusations of high-risk, complex products being recommended to the customer when Mantei was registered with Centaurus Financial. FINRA Arbitration No. 21-02379.

Mantei has also been fined $10,000.00 and suspended for 30 days from associating with any FINRA member supported by a FINRA Extended Hearing Panel’s findings of Mantei’s circumvention of supervisory procedures in effecting trades between customers. Department of Enforcement v. Ricky Alan Mantei Disciplinary Proceeding No. 2015045257501 (February 18, 2021). Mantei violated MSRB Rule G-17 and FINRA Rule 2010.

Mantei was associated with JP Turner Company between March 30, 2010, and June 15, 2015. He has been associated with Centaurus Financial since May 19, 2015.
