Neil Stanley Kaplan of Bethesda, Maryland, a stockbroker formerly registered with Morgan Stanley, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related civil action brought in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland on December 29, 2016, in which the customer sought $435,000.00 in damages founded on accusations that in 2015, stock trades were executed in the customer’s investment portfolio on an excessive basis. Civil Action No. 427987-V (Dec. 29, 2016).

FINRA Public Disclosure confirms that another customer filed an investment related civil action involving Kaplan’s conduct, where the customer requested $240,000.00 in damages supported by allegations that Kaplan effected excessive equity trades in the customer’s account primarily for the purpose of generating fees from the customer. Civil Action No. 426969-V (Nov. 28, 2016).

Kaplan’s registration with Morgan Stanley was terminated as of November 27, 2017.
