Accused Of Using Prohibited Investments
Nance Anne Branton of Ridgeland Mississippi a stockbroker currently employed by Wells Fargo Clearing Services is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on April 10, 2018 where the customer requested damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that impermissible foreign-debt positions were held in the customer’s investment portfolio which caused the customer to incur losses upon the liquidations of those investments. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that Branton is referenced in two more customer initiated investment related disputes pertaining to accusations of his sales practice violations during the period that he was registered with UBS Financial Services Inc. Specifically, on December 23, 2008, a customer initiated investment related complaint concerning Branton’s activities was settled for $750,000.00 in damages founded on allegations of poor performance on auction rate securities transactions placed in the customer’s account. Subsequently, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim involving Branton’s activities was resolved for $15,000.00 in damages supported by accusations that Branton executed equities trades in the customer’s account without the customer’s consent; inappropriately switched the customer’s blue chip stocks with more speculative investments; and established a margin account without approval from the customer.
