Heather P. Weber, of Tampa, Florida, a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, has been named in a pending customer initiated investment related arbitration claim on July 7, 2016, in which the customer requested $500,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Weber made omissions and misrepresentations to the customer concerning investments, and recommended investments to the customer which were unsuitable.
FINRA’s Public Disclosure also reveals that Weber has been named in eight other customer initiated investment related arbitration claims involving similar allegations. Particularly, three additional pending customer initiated investment related arbitration claims were lodged against Weber between September 10, 2015, and June 20, 2016, in which customers have collectively requested $1,175,000.00 in damages based upon allegations against Weber of making recommendations of investments that were not suitable for such customers, while also making misrepresentations to customers concerning investments.
Weber previously settled a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim for $140,000.00 in damages on October 24, 2014, based upon allegations that Weber misrepresented investment strategies and made unsuitable investment recommendations. On August 24, 2014, Weber was named in a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim, in which the customer alleged that misrepresentations were made by Weber concerning investments.
On July 10, 2002, a customer lodged an investment related arbitration claim against Weber, in which the customer alleged that Weber misrepresented an equity investment that the customer purchased. On January 19, 2001, Weber became subject to a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim, in which the customer alleged that an annuity that the customer purchased was misrepresented.
