man with head in hands

Man in handcuffs holding moneyKim Dung Le of Bloomington, Illinois, a registered representative associated with State Farm VP Management Corp., has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity by way of Le’s consent to findings that he failed to cooperate in an investigation into allegations of his outside business activities. Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent, No. 2016050589901 (Dec. 19, 2017).

FINRA Public Disclosure confirms that on September 27, 2016, Le was fired from State Farm based upon accusations that he did not abide by the firm’s procedures concerning the notification of Le’s outside business activities. Evidently, FINRA launched an investigation into Le’s conduct, where on December 1, 2017, FINRA sought that Le provide recorded testimony in regard to the allegations that State Farm cited as the basis of Le’s termination.

The AWC stated that Le contacted FINRA on December 2, 2017, confirming that she was in receipt of FINRA’s request but would at no point cooperate in FINRA’s investigation. FINRA found that Le’s refusal to make an appearance for recorded testimony was violative of FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210.
