Man holding man upside down to shake our cash

Kevin Lawrence Barbalace of Columbia Maryland is a stockbroker formerly registered with Dawson James Securities Inc. who is the subject of a customer initiated investment related written complaint on August 30, 2017 where the customer sought $4,952,610.00 in damages supported by accusations that Barbalace made misrepresentations to the customer and placed unsuitable private placement, promissory note and stock transactions in the customer’s account.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure also confirms that on December 21, 2016, a customer filed an investment related written complaint regarding Barbalace’s activities, in which the customer requested $12,500.00 in damages founded on allegations that Barbalace failed to abide by the customer’s instructions concerning restricted stock investment transactions effected in the customer’s account.

This is the second complaint to surface after Barbalace was fined $5,000.00 and suspended from associating with any FINRA member in any capacity by consenting to findings that made unsuitable investment recommendations to the customer and engaged in outside business activities; conduct violative of FINRA Rules 2010, 2111 and 3270. Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent, No. 2015047757701 (Nov. 17, 2016).

Barbalace was fired by Dawson James Securities and Dawson James Asset Management on May 13, 2015 because he failed to comply with the firms’ procedures and policies. He was later employed by Corinthian Partners LLC between August 18, 2015 and June 10, 2016.
