James Vincent Prosperi of Pittsford New York a stockbroker currently registered with Pruco Securities is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on September 29, 2020 in which the customer requested unspecified compensatory damages supported by accusations that the customer’s signature had been forged on documents to effect insurance transactions during the time that Prosperi was associated with Pruco Securities.

This is not the first time that Prosperi has been accused of sales practice violations by an investor. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure also reveals that on September 24, 2018, a customer filed an investment related complaint concerning Prosperi’s activities where the customer requested more than $5,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that the customer had not been made aware of the fees relating to mutual fund purchases and that the customer had been unreasonably pressured by Prosperi to place assets in a fixed and variable annuity while Prosperi was associated with Allstate Financial Services.

FINRA Public Disclosure also confirms that Prosperi was discharged by prior securities broker dealer employer Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner Smith founded on accusations of Prosperi failing to verify information prior to processing a transaction in a customer’s account.

Prosperi’s registration with Allstate Financial Services was terminated on November 5, 2019. He has been registered with Pruco Securities since November 6, 2019.
