Sign of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority

Irene Padrick Engard (also known as Irene Pa Smith) of Federal Way Washington a stockbroker formerly employed by PFS Investments Inc. has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity based on her consent to findings that she failed to cooperate with FINRA personnel while she was under investigation for possibly engaging in undisclosed outside business activities. Letter of Acceptance Waiver and Consent No. 2019064765701 (May 14, 2020).

According to the AWC, on December 2019, a Uniform Termination Notice for Securities Industry Registration had been filed by PFS Investments which revealed that Engard had been terminated because she engaged in unapproved outside business activities. The AWC indicated that an investigation was subsequently opened by FINRA into Engard’s activities.

On April 22, 2020, the regulator sent Engard a request for her documentation and information. Between April 27, 2020 and April 30, 2020, Engard indicated to FINRA personnel that there would be no documentation and information provided by her. Engard’s refusal to cooperate in the investigation constituted the violation of FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210.

Engard was registered with PFS Investments between January 21, 1993 and December 2, 2019.
