Joseph Ismael Rodriguez of Parsippany, New Jersey, a stockbroker currently registered with Hennion & Walsh, Inc., is the subject of a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim, where customers requested $125,000.00 in damages based upon accusations that investment grade municipal bond purchases effected in the customers’ accounts were not suitable for the customers. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 17-01397 (June 9, 2017).

FINRA Public Disclosure reveals that Rodriguez has been identified in three additional customer initiated investment related disputes pertaining to allegations of his wrongdoing during the time that he was associated with Hennion & Walsh, Inc. Specifically, on August 25, 2004, a customer initiated investment related written complaint regarding Rodriguez’s activities was resolved for $29,000.00 in damages founded on allegations that Rodriguez charged the customer with excessive commissions on over-the-counter equity trades placed in the customer’s accounts.

Then, a customer filed an investment related arbitration claim involving Rodriguez’s conduct, in which the customer resolved the dispute for $25,000.00 in damages resting on accusations that Rodriguez made unsuitable investment recommendations to the customer concerning municipal debt products. FINRA Arbitration No. 15-02348 (Oct. 1, 2015). Moreover, a customer initiated investment related arbitration claim regarding Rodriguez’s activities was resolved for $60,000.00 in damages based upon accusations that Rodriguez made unsuitable bond recommendations to the customer from 2013 to 2014. FINRA Arbitration No. 16-01032 (Aug. 15, 2017).
