David Michael Lademan of Okemos Michigan a stockbroker formerly registered with Kalos Capital Inc. is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on August 18, 2021, in which the customer requested compensatory damages founded on allegations of false statements and omissions relating to business development company (BDC), real estate security (REIT), equipment leasing, and direct investment products sold to them during the time that Lademan was associated with Kalos Capital.

According to the claim, Kalos Capital failed to supervise Lademan’s activities. The claim alleges breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and gross negligence relating to the customer’s alternative investments at Kalos Capital.

Lademan has been identified in five additional customer initiated investment related disputes containing allegations of his misconduct during the time that he was registered with Kalos Capital and Madison Avenue Securities Inc. FINRA Public Disclosure shows that a customer filed an investment related complaint concerning Lademan’s conduct where they sought $9,125.00 in damages supported by accusations of misrepresentation.

Lademan is also the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim which settled for $46,285.00 in damages supported by allegations of Lademan’s failure to perform due diligence on a direct investment that he sold to the customer. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-00857 (January 18, 2021). On January 18, 2021, another customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim concerning Lademan’s conduct was resolved for $20,555.00 in damages founded upon accusations that Lademan provided bad investment recommendations to the customer regarding GPB Capital Holdings. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-02858. The claim also alleges that Kalos Capital failed to undertake due diligence on GPB Capital Holdings before having the customer invest in this BDC.

On January 28, 2021, another customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Lademan’s conduct was settled for $116,249.00 in damages based on allegations that the customer’s account had been overconcentrated by Lademan in a bad private equity when he was associated with Kalos Capital. FINRA Arbitration No. 20-00133. The claim alleges that there was inadequate due diligence before investment recommendations were made.

Lademan is also referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint that was resolved for $8,000.00 on April 8, 2021, based upon accusations of the customer being placed into inappropriate direct investments including direct participation programs and limited partnership interests.

Lademan was registered with Kalos Capital between October 1, 2012, and August 16, 2018. Between August 15, 2018, and February 5, 2019, he was registered with LPL Financial LLC.
