
Christopher Thomas Brothers (also known as Chris Brothers), of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a stockbroker registered with Maxim Group LLC, is the subject of a customer initiated investment related Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested $300,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Brothers breached his fiduciary duties, made misrepresentations of material fact, and made the unsuitable investment recommendation of securities when Brothers was associated with Maxim Group LLC. On September 16, 2010, a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Brothers’s conduct was settled for $40,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Brothers made unsuitable recommendations in over-the-counter equities, breached his fiduciary duties, and was negligent when Brothers was associated with KSH Investment Group Inc., Advanced Equities Inc., and Maxim Group LLC. On February 5, 2025, a FINRA securities arbitration claim involving Brothers’s conduct was settled for $20,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Brothers breached his fiduciary duties, negligently supervised certain representatives, breached a contract, made omissions and misrepresentations of material fact, overconcentrated the customer’s account in risky securities, and made unsuitable recommendations in stocks when Brothers was associated with Maxim Group LLC. Brothers was also referenced in a customer complaint that was settled on March 13, 2025, for $80,000.00 in damages based upon allegations that Brothers made misrepresentations of material fact about stocks and breached his fiduciary duties.
