Annuity Fraud

Charles James Mazac of Bastrop Texas a stockbroker formerly registered with Edward Jones is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint on June 18, 2018 in which the customer requested damages estimated to exceed $5,000.00 supported by accusations that Mazac inappropriately made investment recommendations to the customer concerning a Lincoln National Life Insurance American Legacy Shareholders Variable Annuity. The customer contended that the poor advice regarding taking withdrawals from the annuity led the customer to forfeit gains.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure additionally confirms that on October 13, 2009, a customer filed an investment related complaint concerning Mazac’s conduct where the customer sought more than $5,000.00 in damages founded on allegations that Mazac poorly advised the customer in reference to the customer’s investment allocation; Mazac apparently recommended for the customer to liquidate holdings in Kellogg’s stock, which led to the customer incurring unwarranted tax consequences.

On January 4, 2017, Mazac’s registration with Edward Jones was terminated.
