Sign of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority

Caroline Mohan (also known as Caroline Reyes), of West Palm Beach, Florida, a stockbroker formerly registered with LPL Financial LLC, has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity based upon findings that she failed to cooperate with a FINRA investigation into allegations of her private securities transactions and outside business activities. Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent No. 2021070667501 (November 22, 2021).

According to the AWC, FINRA was notified about LPL Financial’s termination of Mohan on March 11, 2021. The Uniform Termination Notice for Securities Industry Registration (Form U5) submitted by LPL Financial indicated that Mohan resigned when internally investigated for selling away and engaging in an outside business activity. An investigation by FINRA ensued.

The AWC states that on November 3, 2021, Mohan was asked by the regulator to provide testimony in response to LPL Financial’s Form U5. By November 9, 2021, Mohan relayed that she received the regulator’s request and would not comply at any time. Mohan failed to testify, preventing FINRA from determining if she violated FINRA rules on outside business activities and private securities transactions. She was barred for violating FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210 by refusing to testify.

Mohan was registered with LPL Financial between July 21, 2017, and March 11, 2021.
