Carlos Javier Legaspy of Highland Park Illinois a stockbroker formerly registered with Insight Securities Inc. is the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim in which the customer requested between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 in damages founded on allegations that they had been sold worthless corporate and asset-backed debt investments during the period that Legaspy was associated with Insight Securities. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Arbitration No. 21-00661 (March 21, 2021). The claim alleges a failure to conduct due diligence on a third party investment adviser involved in the transactions.

FINRA Public Disclosure shows that Legaspy has been identified in four more customer initiated investment related disputes containing accusations of his wrongdoing when associated with Insight Securities. Legaspy is referenced in a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim where the customer sought $500,000.00 in damages supported by allegations of Legaspy taking part in the sale of worthless notes to the customer in April of 2017 during the time that he was associated with Insight Securities. On December 16, 2020, another customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim concerning Legaspy’s conduct was settled for $810,000.00 in damages supported by accusations that a third party submitted fraudulent transfer documents to Insight Securities that Legaspy should have detected. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-00474. The claim alleges that the customer had been sold worthless notes.

On March 30, 2021, a different customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim concerning Legaspy’s conduct was resolved for $227,647.00 in damages founded upon allegations of Legaspy’s negligence at Insight Securities as he overlooked signs of fraud by a third party advisor. FINRA Arbitration No. 18-02781.

Legaspy is also the subject of a customer initiated investment related FINRA securities arbitration claim which was settled for $572,353.00 in damages supported by accusations of negligence relating to corporate bond and asset-backed bond transactions. FINRA Arbitration No. 19-00137 (March 30, 2021).

Legaspy has been registered with Insight Securities as a stockbroker since February 12, 2020, and as an investment adviser representative since October 13, 2021. He has also been registered as an investment adviser representative of Precise Investment Management since May 2, 2016.
