Anthony Baker Liddle (also known as Tony B. Liddle) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, a stockbroker formerly registered with Landolt Securities and Western International Securities, has been barred from associating with any Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) member in any capacity founded on findings that Liddle refused to comply with the regulator during an investigation into Liddle’s potential borrowing of customers’ funds while registered with those securities broker dealers. According to the AWC, in May of 2022, the regulator discovered that $1,800,000.00 had allegedly been borrowed by Liddle from customers of both Western International Securities and Landolt Securities. The AWC states that an investigation into Liddle began, with FINRA asking Liddle to provide documents and information and to testify regarding his activities.

FINRA states that Liddle’s lawyer informed FINRA that Liddle received its request but would neither testify nor provide the requested documents and information in the FINRA investigation. Liddle violated FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210, supported by accusations of his failure to comply.

Liddle has also been sanctioned by State of Wisconsin. Liddle was issued an Order by State of Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions barring him from being a stockbroker or investment adviser representative in the state. Case No. 244949. According to the regulator, Liddle borrowed funds from customers in violation of Wisconsin securities law. The regulator also notes that Liddle misled customers regarding GWG Holdings Class L bonds. The Division alleges that Liddle was not authorized to sell those investments.

Liddle was permitted to resign by Landolt Securities on May 23, 2022, based upon allegations of Liddle receiving funds to make investments in GWG.
