man with head in hands

Andrew Ricardo Roybal of San Diego California a stockbroker formerly registered with UnionBanc Investment Services is referenced in a customer initiated investment related written complaint which was resolved for $21,887.00 on November 20, 2020 supported by accusations that the customer’s instructions had not been followed as it pertained to a managed account investment at UnionBanc Investment Services. A case of “he said, she said.”

Roybal has been referenced in three additional customer initiated investment related disputes regarding allegations of his indiscretions while he was employed by UnionBanc Investment Services. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure confirms that a customer initiated investment related complaint regarding Roybal’s conduct was settled to resolve accusations that the risks of mutual fund transactions had been concealed by Roybal at UnionBanc.  Another case of “he said, she said.”

Another customer filed an investment related complaint concerning Roybal’s activities where the customer requested $24,740.00 in damages founded on allegations of misrepresentation as it pertained to a variable universal life insurance policy issued by The Hartford. Roybal is also the subject of a customer initiated investment related written complaint in which the customer sought $78,000.00 in damages based upon accusations of the stockbroker misrepresenting information to the UnionBanc customer and of selling investments that were not suitable for the customer.  Another case of “he said, she said.”  Luckily, these were also denied by his employers most likely because they lacked any evidence.

On July 8, 2020, Roybal’s registrations as a stockbroker and investment adviser representative of UnionBanc were terminated. Since June 26, 2020, he has been registered as a stockbroker and investment adviser representative of LPL Financial LLC.
