Roy Elmer McGuffin of Cincinnati, Ohio, a stockbroker registered with Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc., was terminated from employment on September 19, 2017, based upon accusations that he may have violated the firm’s policies with respect to a customer’s beneficiary designation.

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Public Disclosure reveals that on August 9, 2017, a customer filed an investment related written complaint involving McGuffin’s conduct, where the customer requested $900,000.00 in damages supported by allegations that McGuffin unduly influenced a customer to enable the advisor to become the customer’s trustee and beneficiary.

McGuffin is currently associated with FSIC since December 7, 2017. He has been associated with five different broker dealers, one of which has been expelled by FINRA for violation of federal securities laws or is otherwise defunct.
